Child Protection Officer

Due to a recent resignation, we are looking to recruit a Child Protection Officer for the Club.  You will appreciate this is an essential role within the Club and is a requirement within our Codes of Practice.

 

The CPO will be involved in ensuring the Club complies with the Scottish Swimming Child Protection Policy and current legislation and will ensure that athletes and volunteers are training/competing/working within a safe environment.

 

Main tasks within the role are:

  • Be able to implement the SGB child protection policy and procedures.

  • Encourage good practice by promoting and championing the child protection policy and procedures.

  • Conduct the administrative work associated with processing information on new volunteers / staff

  • Reliable, trustworthy and a good listener

  • Understanding & appreciation for the need for confidentiality
