Addition to the website

We’ve added a new feature to the website, ‘Parents’. You’ll find it up on the top right sandwiched between the Noticeboard and Contacts or if you are on your mobile, scroll to the top of the page and press menu. You’ll see it second from the bottom on that list.

Within this section there is lots of useful information regarding swim meets, what to take and what to expect, swim speak (because sometime it is like another language) and links to important documents etc that you may need from time to time.

Take a browse through and if you any comments or queries please feel to us the contact form here, message the Facebook page or speak to any member of the Committee.

Thanks Dale

At our monthly Committee meeting last week, our Vice President Dale Strachan announced that, due to other commitments, he was stepping down from his role as VP.  The Committee would like to thank Dale for his dedication and contribution to the Club over the last few years.  This includes his work in setting up our breakfast club, car share scheme, sports nutritionist and psychologist input as well as his efforts in fund raising and all-round support for what we are striving for here at Larkhall.  We will miss Dale’s enthusiasm and his wit but hope he will remain part of the Club as an active parent.

Thanks Dale.

Well done to LAASC open water swimmers

Great effort by Emma T and Jamie M on Saturday at Lochore Meadows in Fife for the first open water competition of the season. A blustery day saw some challenging conditions but both swimmers completed the 1Km course with respectable time, junior Emma T grabbing a 4th place in 18.05 and Jamie just missing a top ten placing, finishing 11th in the seniors with 16.28.

Athlete's Logbooks

Over the last couple of months or so our club website and its contents has been undergoing a bit of a face-lift and the club are pleased to announce all parents and athletes can now download and take ownership of their progress and performance at club by following the link below to our club training logbook.

These booklets were originally piloted last year and it’s great to see these go digital and helping to reduce our carbon footprint.

Just a reminder that we are still looking for kit items to be recycled and if you have any spare or outgrown kit (like fins!) please pass them on to a committee member as we are gathering items to use at Kilgraston summer camp, and also to share and re-use within the club.
